Tailored support at Bradford
An adult learner is someone who is applying to university for the first time, who has had a break from education, and/or is applying with non-traditional qualifications.
A care experienced student is any student who has been in the care of a local authority as a child.
We define an estranged student as a young person, aged 25 or under at the time of enrolment, who no longer has the support of their biological or adoptive parents due to a breakdown in their relationship.
We define a young adult carer as a person aged between 16 and 25, who cares, unpaid, for a partner, relative or friend with a long-term illness or disability, mental health condition, or addiction.
A refugee is someone whose claim for asylum has been granted official ‘refugee’ status. An asylum seeker is someone who is in the process of seeking asylum.
