Opportunities abroad

We give students more than just a degree; we offer the opportunity to gain unique experiences abroad.

Our degrees offer a range of opportunities across the globe from short programmes, study placements, work placements and internships.

Our International Opportunities team can help you to get the most out of your experience abroad, we've supported students on their journeys throughout Europe, Australia, America, Asia and Africa.

Reasons to study abroad

There are so many benefits to studying abroad:

Make yourself stand out

Students who go abroad are viewed as independent, self-reliant, adaptable, open-minded, persistent and tolerant. An experience abroad will strengthen your leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, all of which will make you standout for employers.

Boost your CV

the QS Global Employer Survey Report found that 6 out of 10 employers around the world give extra credit for a student with international experience, and more than 80% said they actively sought graduates who went abroad.

Broaden your horizons

Students return with a less biased perspective towards other cultures.

Receive academic recognition

Approved study or work periods abroad will be reflected in student transcripts.

Have fun

Not only will you benefit from the opportunities that a journey abroad will give you, but you will meet new people, experience a new culture and have a nice time.

It seems almost impossible to describe these past few weeks with just words. This experience has cleared every fear I had in working in a foreign country and not knowing what to expect on a cultural basis when going into a foreign country. “Sign me up again!” I would say. It was indeed a month well spent.
