Tell us about yourself
"Originally from the UK, I have spent the last 22 years living and working in Singapore, Dubai, Australia and Chile, building-out local offices and growing business for US and European firms.
"I have been involved in a number of start-ups and investments with great people whom I have met along the way.
"I'm currently building-out market entry and execution strategies for US and European technology firms entering APAC and the Middle East, creating successful models and growing their business, which leads to successful referrals.
"I get satisfaction from taking something from nothing to great, and developing good relationships and friendships along the way."
Gaining my degree has helped me apply the academic grounding to over twenty years of real-world experience, which then creates leverage to use both types of knowledge to develop the next stage of my career.
Why Bradford, and what were your highlights?
"The main attractions to studying at Bradford were that it was a UK university with a Triple Crown of accreditations, and recommendations from previous students."
"I met some great students, some of whom I am still in contact with. I had great lectures, stimulating debates and significant academic and life learning."
What advice would you give to current and future students?
"Take whatever you study seriously; it's a financial, physical and emotional investment.
"You are doing yourself an injustice if you do not learn and extract as much as you can from each module, lecturer, fellow student and each and every conversation you have.
"Read deep and question everything. Exhaust your research and go above and beyond what is expected of you. This way you will learn much more than the University teaches you."
