Clean room facilities for melt extrusion
Scientists at the Centre for Pharmaceutical Engineering Science have access to clean room facilities (ISO8) for the provision of hot melt extrusion processing.
The clean room houses a PharmaLab (Thermo Scientific) 16mm twin screw extruder and is ideal for scale-up and optimisation studies as well as the manufacture of preclinical technical batches of pharmaceutical and healthcare related products.
