Dr Viktor Doychinov
Lecturer in Electronics and Software Engineering, Bradford-Renduchintala Centre for Space AI
Expertise: Wireless communications, wireless electronics, satellite communications, wearable and implantable tech
Dr Doychinov’s current research interests are in communication hardware development for small satellites, and the use of open source tools and frameworks for space mission design. He is also taking an active part in the development of the Centre for Space AI's first PocketQube satellite.
Dr Doychinov’s broad interests are in wireless communications and wireless electronics, particularly in the context of satellite communications. He is particularly looking at developing millimetre-wave transceiver hardware for small satellites, as well as investigating the feasibility of mesh networks at those frequencies.
He is interested in the similarities between communication system design for satellites and for biomedical applications, such as implantable and wearable technology.
