Dr Pedi Obani

Expertise: Climate change governance and policy advice, particularly as it relates to how climate issues adversely affect women in developing countries; sustainability.

Pedi was given UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship status by UKRI in July 2024 and was awarded £1.28 million for a four-year project that will examine ways in which climate change adversely impacts women, with a view to creating a framework for addressing these problems.

She has worked in the higher education sector since 2012, collaborating extensively with academics in Nigeria, South Africa, Canada, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, among others.
