Expertise: Architecture, planning, civil engineering, geo-environmental engineering, thermal energy recovery from soils and other materials
Dr Mohamed is Senior Lecturer in Geotechnical Engineering and currently the Head of Civil Engineering Department. Dr Mohamed has gained a wide range of expertise from working in academia and industry. His research interests lie in the area of geotechnical and geoenvironmental engineering. In particular, his key research areas are recovery of thermal energy from soils, soil reinforcement, modelling unsaturated soils, consolidation of soft soils, soil structure interaction, contaminant transport and treatment of wastewater using soil aquifers.
