University to hold nursing skills interview workshop
People looking to apply for a nursing course at the University of Bradford through Clearing are invited to attend an interview preparation workshop.
The Nursing Skills Interview Event, held on Wednesday 7 August between 16.30 and 19:00, is open to those who want to apply for Nursing - Adult, Children’s, Mental Health or MNursing courses at the university.
The session, held on-campus, will give people the chance to pick up important information on Clearing and hints and tips for their interview. They will also have the chance to practise their skills by taking part in a mock interview.
Participants will hear from academics about what they are looking for from them.
Interview experiences
Those who attend will also hear from current nursing students and their own experiences on how they prepared and what it was like on the day of the interview.
Members of the university’s Outreach and Recruitment team will also be on hand to answer any questions that attendees may have.
The session is open to undergraduate home students who are planning to apply, or are considering applying, to Nursing through Clearing. The event is not suitable for an International or Postgraduate students. This applies to all types of nursing.
Participants who register before the event should arrive on 7 August at the Richmond Building reception desk at the University of Bradford, ahead of a 17:00 start of the session.
Bradford is the first university to train its student nurses to use naloxone; a life-saving medication which can reverse overdoses caused by opiates. The training will be given to around 400 student nurses every year.
A range of courses - including Nursing - are available at the University of Bradford.
Those looking to study in September 2024 can apply through Clearing, which is now open.
Clearing can be used by those who have changed their mind about what or where they want to study, those who have received higher or lower grades than expected, and those that have yet to apply to a university for the start of the September 2024 academic year. Clearing closes on Monday 21 October.
