'Chef Skills Academy' for students
Students will gain professional tutelage
The University of Bradford, in partnership with Baxterstorey, is offering you the opportunity to get the skills and qualifications to be bold and creative in your cooking. Sharpen your knife skills, bake bread from scratch and learn how to whip up some quick and tasty culinary delights in no time, with our new Chef Skills Academy.
Through the Chef Skills Academy you will be taken on a culinary journey. Starting with basic knife skills, soup preparation, soda bread, stir-frying, sauce making and finally chocolate work.
Our passionate chefs will share the way we source, cook, plate our dishes, and prepare our menus in our business. The programme will give you a fundamental understanding of cooking, nutrition, and the importance of sustainability. You will even receive health and safety Level 2 certification once you’ve passed the e-learning project.
Life skills
