Film awarded prize at First Hermetic International Film Festival
The University of Bradford's Dr Mark Goodall directed and produced the film, Holy Terrors, a collection of weird tales by Arthur Machen, which has been awarded a 'Special Mention' prize at the First Hermetic International Film Festival.
Holy Terrors
The black and white, horror/fantasy film depicts Machen’s fantastic and surreal stories, described as playing around the edge where the familiar world may suddenly fall into abeyance.
Second award
Dr Mark Goodall, Senior Lecturer in Media, Design and Technology, said, “I am delighted that Holy Terrors has picked up a prize at this new international film festival, especially as this is the second award the film has collected following ‘Best Film' at the 2017 Drunken Film Festival. It’s wonderful to see the film picking up recognition from audiences across Europe.”
