Published:

The University of Bradford has been rated by the Guardian among the top five universities in the UK for the effectiveness of its teaching and the value added to our students.

The rating is alongside a rise of 11 places for the University in the overall Guardian University League Table 2016.

The Guardian focuses on comparing students’ individual degree results with their entry qualifications, and highlights how effective the institution’s teaching is.

The result follows recent national and international successes for Bradford. These include two courses, Pharmacy and Pharmacology, and Development Studies, being ranked amongst the top in the world by the QS World University Rankings.

The University jumped 15 places in the latest Complete University Guide, reflecting changes and improvements being made in partnership with students, to support them in reaching their potential.

Bradford also achieved the highest rise in overall ranking of all UK universities in the 2015 Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey results, leaping into the top 50.

University Vice-Chancellor, Brian Cantor, said: “This ranking underlines again our commitment to delivering world-class teaching in a research-intensive environment, and the great results our students achieve. Our international industry links, inspirational lecturers and world-class teaching facilities create a learning environment that adds real value to the knowledge our students gain to go out and make a difference in the world.”
