Victor's story
Victor Chimezie is a Nigerian community peacebuilder and social change facilitator, with over seven years experience in peacebuilding.
He is the Founder and Team Leader at Mind Reformers Network, where he helps inspire young people into peacebuilding. In the last seven years, he has led the team to reach over 5000 young Nigerians across seven Nigerian cities via peacebuilding talks within schools, local communities, internally displaced persons camps, and various online and physical peacebuilding workshops for young people.
As an Institute for Economics and Peace Ambassador he has facilitated various positive peace education training sessions for hundreds of young Nigerians. He is a 2019 Institute for Economics and Peace Ambassador, immediate past country coordinator for Commonwealth Youth Peace Ambassadors Network in Nigeria , a commonwealth youth correspondent, USIP Generation Change Fellow 2022, Rotary Positive Peace Activator 2023, and a 2024 Kofi Annan Changemaker Awardee.
He is also a commonwealth youth correspondent for the Commonwealth Secretariat, where he writes for the youth blog on peacebuilding, youth development, and community development issues. He has volunteered for, and interned with, various organisations such as NEEM Foundation, Karuna Centre for Peacebuilding, CDD West Africa, and the Dean Initiative.
