Serving as the Policy & Partnerships Manager for the Aga Khan Foundation Afghanistan in Kabul, Yasin played a pivotal role in resource mobilisation and strategic partnerships. His leadership has resulted in securing funding for humanitarian response, health, education, and livelihood projects.
In his previous role as Project Development Coordinator from September 2019 to January 2022, Yasin led the development of projects with a strong focus on health, education, and livelihoods. He also championed the incorporation of innovative approaches such as Human Centred Design (HCD) and the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus into the foundation's initiatives.
Before that, Yasin served as the National Program Officer, where he managed programming plans impacting numerous beneficiaries across eight provinces in Afghanistan. He streamlined processes and introduced tools to enhance program implementation and coordination.
As the National Partnerships Officer and Regional Program Support Officer, Yasin contributed significantly to partnership development and effective project management. His commitment to cross-sectoral collaboration and communication resulted in more impactful initiatives.
Yasin's early career at the Aga Khan Foundation Afghanistan involved IT and communication roles, where he provided crucial technical support and documented project progress through photography and videography.
Yasin has a history of volunteering, including teaching internet and computer skills to female students at learning centres in Takhar and serving as a mathematics and physics teacher at the local Institute for female students.
