Elise Nassif is an experienced researcher and evaluator specialising in governance, Security Sector Reform (SSR), Security Sector Governance (SSG), and human security. She has worked extensively on evaluation projects across Lebanon, Syria, Libya, and Egypt, with a particular focus on gender and development. Recently, as a Junior Project Officer, Elise worked with DCAF – Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance, a diplomatic entity in the Lebanon field office on a project centred on Civil-Military Relations (CIMIC) in Lebanon.

She has also worked with several consultancy agencies conducting external evaluations for organizations such as UNICEF, Oxfam, and Danmission. Elise began her career in the humanitarian field with MARCH, a local NGO in Lebanon, as a Project and Monitoring & Evaluation Officer, where she focused on the rehabilitation of incarcerated youth from marginalised areas, which were formerly conflict demarcation lines.

In addition to her professional work, Elise has been a committed Rotaractor in Lebanon of District 2452 for over seven years, focusing on development and girls' empowerment. She initiated the "Imagine Girls in STEM" program which received several awards and was highlighted at the Rotary Zone Institute in Bucharest.
