Our relationship with NatWest
Over recent years the University of Bradford School of Management has built a trusted relationship with NatWest which has impacted what we offer to students.
The relationship has seen NatWest provide continuing support and session delivery across a range of our events including Career Booster Week and the Entrepreneurship Festival.
NatWest co-supported the inaugural Entrepreneurship Festival which took place in June, 2022. During the festival the banks Entrepreneur Development Manager delivered a session to over 30 students on how to create and adopt an entrepreneurial mindset.
I really value visits like these across the UK, which give me the opportunity to meet customers, businesses and partners in the communities we at NatWest are a part of. It’s an exciting time for Bradford as it was recently voted the UK’s City of Culture for 2025, and my key focus during the trip was on how we can support our customers and help to unlock the entrepreneurial potential there.

Support for entrepreneurship
The Entrepreneurship Festival also saw the visit of NatWest Group Chief Executive Officer Alison Rose. Alison took a tour of the School of Management on her first visit to the University where she was able to network with the people she worked with.
After the tour Alison delivered a keynote speaker session to the students in attendance, discussing the creativity, innovation and resilience it takes to become a successful entrepreneur.
Collaboration for Career Booster
NatWest Local Enterprise Managers Rachel Dixon and Charlie Tunnard also continue to offer their time and expertise to our students over the course of our Career Booster weeks.
In our 2021/22 academic year Rachel and Charlie delivered 10 hours of Career Booster sessions to almost 400 of our students across our October and February Career Booster weeks. The sessions covered a range of content including business modelling, customer markets, business pitches and the power of mindset.
NatWest then followed this up in October 2022 Career Booster week by delivering 5 Career Booster sessions to over 350 students. These sessions formed a certificated programme of sessions with students being awarded the NatWest Business Builder Booster Award for attending all 5 sessions.
