Our School

We are one of the oldest Business Schools in the UK, as we celebrate 60 years of academic excellence in business education and research in 2023. We are also part of an elite group of business schools worldwide with the triple-crown of accreditations - AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS.

We are proud to have been recognised by THE as Business School of the Year 2021 for our commitment to driving economic and social regeneration, extra-curricular support to our students, reskilling our alumni and helping local business throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.  We also received Educate North Business School of the Year 2020 in recognition of our outstanding performance in the areas of financial performance, teaching, research, student experience, innovation, and economic impact.

We are proud to have created an environment that enables current and future business leaders to flourish and to make a difference in the world. Our broad range of courses are designed, with our industry partners, to respond to the rapidly evolving business landscape. Our research is distinctive, relevant and is helping to shape the world we live in.

60th Anniversary

September 2023 sees the School of Management celebrate its 60th Anniversary.

Since its inception in 1963 (pre-dating the foundation of the University of Bradford), it has been pioneering in its approach. It was one of the first business schools in the country and one of the first UK-based schools to launch an MBA.

Throughout the 2023/24 academic year the School will mark our milestone anniversary with a series of events and activities including the Annual Management Lecture, Academic Conference and a special celebration ball. Over the year you can keep up to date on ongoing activity and see a timeline of the schools history on our 60th anniversary page.

Our student-centred approach, coupled with our excellent ties to industry and world-leading research is reflected both in our funding successes for new programmes and our numerous awards. We are proud to be celebrating 60 years in business and we look forward to 60 more.
