Communities At Risk from the Environment
Communities At Risk from the Environment (CARE) was founded in Berkshire, England, circa 1986 in response to concerns about health risks from nearby military and research establishments, notably AWE Aldermaston and RAF Burghfield.
The Archive
Material dates mainly from 1986-1987 and 1993. It comprises a file of correspondence, meeting minutes, press releases, reports, and press cuttings (mainly from the local press). It has been quickly catalogued at collection level in order to make it available to the public as part of our First Sort programme.
