Giving to Bradford

Be part of our future.

This unique and outstanding institution could not achieve all it does without the generosity of our donors.

Throughout our history, individuals and organisations from a variety of different backgrounds and circumstances have enhanced our facilities, teaching, and research, empowering the University to share these strengths with wider society.

We believe in making a difference in the world by ‘Making Knowledge Work’, delivering professional and vocational courses with great employment prospects for our graduates, and carrying out cutting-edge research to improve people's lives worldwide.

"Our donors' generosity has played a key role in creating the University we are today, from supporting ground-breaking research and facilities, to building partnerships with local communities, helping students in financial need and providing opportunities for talented people to study for a life-changing degree.

"Our vision is a world of equality of opportunity where people want to and can make a difference. We want to be known as the place that helps to make that happen."

You can make a difference

Our alumni, friends, partners, and supporters are essential to our continuing development and success, and the University's ability to make a positive impact on society. Here at the University of Bradford, we are ‘Making Knowledge Work’ to solve some of society’s biggest challenges. We have always been pioneering in our approach, from being the first British University to offer a Peace Studies degree, to the first to set up a modern business school and the first British University outside of London to offer part-time degree courses.

The University focuses on three areas of academic priority; Advanced Healthcare, Innovative Engineering, and Sustainable Societies. Our focus on these areas prepares us to tackle pressing global challenges and enables the development of the next generation of pioneers.

There are many ways in which you can support the University from scholarships and prizes to ground-breaking healthcare research. All donations make an impact and can make a huge difference to our students, researchers, and wider communities.

An update on the Bradford Futures Fund

The University has responded to the current cost of living crisis by increasing the Bradford Futures Fund annual award to £1,500, an increase of £500 from the previous year. This uplift will make a bigger impact to those in most need of support.

We are determined to increase the number of students these scholarships can make a difference to, and this will only be possible with your help.

If you have any questions the Bradford Futures Fund, would like to make a new donation, or increase an existing donation, please contact [email protected]

“I would like to thank the donor for supporting me in my dreams - you have changed my life in a way I never expected. Your support has meant that my life will take a different trajectory, one that would not have been possible otherwise. I hope to be able to encourage others that are in my position to achieve great things no matter what their story is - with hard work, and commitment to your dreams, anything is possible.”
