About

In November 2023 the School of Management relaunched the Annual Management Lecture as a part of our 60th Anniversary celebrations with alumni Merel Olgers talking about People as the Core of Responsible Management.

This year sees the continuation of the lecture with Dr. Andrea Cullen, alumni of the University of Bradford and Co-Founder of CAPSLOCK, returning to deliver the lecture.

You are invited to join us once again as we use the lecture to explore our heritage, celebrate our impact and delve into another hot topic in the modern business world.

How to navigate the threat landscape

Cyber-attacks can have various motives, such as stealing data, disrupting operations, extorting money, or damaging reputation. Over the last decade, the threat landscape has evolved significantly, and cyber-attackers have become more sophisticated, persistent, and opportunistic. Attackers can exploit new technologies, local and global events to launch more frequent and targeted attacks.

As cyber-attacks can have serious consequences, it is crucial for businesses to protect their assets, customers, and reputation. Therefore, businesses need to be proactive and to adopt a holistic and strategic approach to cybersecurity. By following best practices, a business can more easily navigate the threat landscape and be better positioned to stay ahead of the curve.
