David Petit
Why did I join the Innovation and skills advisory board?
I have been working for 25 years with academics and Industry, in the Space sector. In the past decade, I grew an additional passion for Artificial Intelligence. “Space AI” is basically bringing together my two key interests.
I started my career with a PhD, by being a lecturer in several masters at Toulouse University, for C++, radar imagery and Innovation. Throughout my career, I have maintained close collaborations with universities through multiple projects, internships and PhD sponsorships. I recognise the value, for a student, of courses and exercises which relate with the hot topics of the industry, and the benefit, for the industry, to get students which have been prepared for the current and future challenges of the sector. Space and AI are key sectors that will continue to grow in the coming decades, and it is therefore fundamental that the necessary skills are developed.
I am willing to support ISAB in giving the students the excitement and skills they will need in their future career.
