Introduction from the Dean
It all started with a Linkedln message to our alumnus, Dr Murthy Venkata Renduchintala, back in November 2020 followed by a rapid and exciting planning and implementation period to the official opening of the Bradford-Renduchintala Space Centre for AI on 12 October 2022. Much credit goes to colleagues from the Faculty and the University Professional Services who worked so unreservedly hard over two years to achieve this milestone, led by the inaugural Centre Director Professor Fun Hu. People are key to the success of the Space Centre. We have gathered a team of talented academics, researchers and professional staff with complementary and synergistic expertise, working together to bring the Centre vision into reality. The Centre is also fortunate to have many experienced and knowledgeable industrial experts from top organisations in the field on its Innovation and Skills Advisory Board, to steer the future direction of the Centre. We are also privileged to host several top satellite industrial experts as honorary/visiting staff and specialist lecturers, who are keen to contribute to the Centre and to the delivery of the MSc Satellite Systems Engineering programme.
Our visiting professors are distinguished members of the space industry and also deliver specialist lectures.
The advisory board informs the strategy of the centre and the content of our course curriculum.
