Entry requirements

To successfully apply, you must:

  • be an NMC-registered midwife
  • have achieved a minimum 2:2 in your previous degree
  • have a statement of support from your line manager

English language requirements

IELTS Level 7

If you do not meet the IELTS requirement, and you have a UKVI approved IELTS, you can take a University of Bradford pre-sessional English course. See the Language Centre for more details. Learning and assessment

You will study via a blended learning approach. This includes learning through a variety of simulation environments, lectures, seminars, guided study and practice-based learning. Simulation and clinical skills sessions will be held to enable you to experience clinical environments in a controlled, educational setting.

Assessment will include a written assignment and submission of a clinical logbook with 30 completed systematic and physical examinations of the newborn.
