Al Hareth Mahdi
I am Al-Hareth Mahdi, from Raimah–Yemen.
I graduated from Sana'a University-Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
In the past five years, I undertook many positions with different national health entities including lab specialist, INGO's survey in association with (WHO) and lastly a supervisor in a medical company.
Meanwhile, I am a master's student studying Medical Biosciences at the University of Bradford. I am passionate about studying Biomedical Sciences with a key interest in Cancer Research and Medical Cell studies.
I am grateful for being given such a great opportunity at a leading technology university like Bradford; thanks to Chevening Scholarships Programme.
My Chevening journey has been amazing and I look at it as a quantum leap in my professional and personal life.
This opportunity will help me acquire all the necessary professional skills and the academic knowledge I need to be a Biomedical Scientist.
It will further qualify me to help establish an internationally standardized Medical Research Center in my country, Yemen.
This project, if established, will definitely contribute to solving tremendous number of health issues in Yemen.
