Business Services
Staying ahead of the competition in a fast and ever-changing world with limited resources is a constant challenge.
If you are an established organisation, you may also be constantly concerned about obligations and ensuring the company runs smoothly as well as being occupied by the need to innovate your product/service range to meet the growing and diverse needs of customers and provide the best possible customer service.
Academic consultancy
Consultancy is available for short-term assignments to solve immediate problems, or to provide longer-term strategic advice. It offers access to expertise that may otherwise be unaffordable or unavailable to an organisation on a regular basis, providing access to skills that can help develop practical solutions and make a tangible contribution to company innovation and change.
Innovate UK and Access Innovation may have funding available to support consultancy.
Strategic partnerships
We form partnerships with companies in many different ways. In addition to paid or funded projects, many businesses want to share their knowledge with students and can do this by contributing to lectures. Companies who want to influence the skills our graduates gain from their degrees, could do this by joining one of our industry advisory boards.
Companies often want to contribute to the University's research by providing funds to buy pieces of equipment, to fund research student bursaries or to exploit intellectual property.
