Ethics Committee
The University Ethics Committee has delegated authority from Council and Senate to consider ethical questions arising from all aspects of the University’s business and to determine necessary actions. The Committee oversees and monitors the University Ethics Code and how the Code and principles contained within it are embedded across the University.
The Committee considers the procedures that underpin our Ethics Code, cases that are referred to it for decision and ethical issues that might have policy implications for the University.
This Committee does not deal with student and staff ethics applications or research queries. Please note these are dealt with as part of the Committee for Ethics in Research via Research and Innovation Services.

Ethical Framework
The Committee has oversight of the Ethical Framework of the University which comprises a comprehensive set of principles, policies and procedures which together demonstrate the ethical standards that the University sets across all of its activities.

- Thursday 10 October 2024 (deadline for receipt of papers 12 noon, 26 September 2024),
- Thursday 06 February 2025 (deadline for receipt of papers 12 noon, 23 January 2025),
- Thursday 19 June 2025 (deadline for receipt of papers 12 noon, 5 June 2025).
NB Late documents will not normally be accepted and will be deferred to the next meeting.
