GENOVATE
GENOVATE is a European gender equality action research initiative coordinated and led by Professor Uduak Archibong in the Centre for Inclusion and Diversity.
It operates across seven European partner institutions, each of which have different institutional and national contexts for gender equality. Other than the University of Bradford, the partner institutions include:
The GENOVATE Model
The GENOVATE Model for Gender Equality in Transforming Research and Innovation report, provides a structured approach to gender equality in research and innovation.
The versatile character of the GENOVATE Model facilitates application with other existing institutional approaches to gender equality. It can be used to address gender inequalities as identified by change drivers in higher education, research and innovation environments.
GENOVATE Maternity Report Project
The Maternity, Paternity and Parental Review was undertaken at the University of Bradford by Karina Croucher, Nazira Karodia and Uduak Archibong.
It sought to:
- investigate the University of Bradford’s position in relation to competitor institutions,
- explore staff experiences of maternity/paternity/parental leave,
- recommend key steps which would support staff and contribute to their research potential at the University including:
- the training of line managers,
- revision of policy guidance documents,
- steps towards a more family-friendly campus.
